The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announced that $50 Locals Thursday tickets will be available online for a limited window starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Locals Thursday is opening day — April 25 — this year. Normally it falls on the Thursday of the second festival weekend, but The Rolling Stones are scheduled to perform Thursday, May 2, and various changes have been made to that day at the fest.
For Locals Thursday, Louisiana residents with state ID can go to the box office at the gates to purchase up to two tickets for $50 each for admission that day.
The festival also is offering those tickets online to buyers using a credit card with a Louisiana billing zip code. There is still a two ticket limit, and tickets are mobile only and non-transferable. The tickets are $50 each, and there are no fees. They are available via nojazzfest.com or the Jazz Fest app from 10 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 24.
