Musical documenting the life and art of Mahalia Jackson, who rose from an impoverished New Orleans childhood to become a world-renowned gospel singer. NOT WITHOUT GRANDMA. Carlone's Dinner Theatre, 100 N. Labarre Road, Metairie, 838-9906. Dramatic comedy about three generations of women all living in the same house undergoing life-changing events.
