Brooklyn-born saxophonist Wess Anderson studied under Alvin Batiste
at Southern University and developed a bluesy and swinging New
Orleans-anchored sound. He was a longtime member of Wynton Marsalis'
sextet and member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. His most
recent release Warm it Up, Warmdaddy (Nu Jazz) features notable
locals Lawrence Sieberth (piano) and Roland Guerin (bass). Call club
