Just returned from an incredibly fun four day trip to New Orleans. We love the Funky Pirate and never fail to be amazed by the awesome live music options that are available without even a cover charge. Our absolute favorite is Mark Penton, whether playing with the Pentones, other bands or solo accoustic. When in New Orleans, we plan the rest of our time around all of his shows. Anyone visiting New Orleans is missing out if they don't make a point of catching this phenomenal performer. We also really enjoy Big "Hambone" Willie Lockett and the All Purpose Blues Band. I LOVE New Orleans!
