Sticking to His Script
David Vitter is sticking with what works. When Louisiana's embattled U.S. senator qualified for re-election on July 7, he dodged questions about his latest self-inflicted scandal and instead offered reporters a familiar refrain: that his chief Democratic opponent, Congressman Charlie Melancon, is too supportive of President Barack Obama.

Cultural Destroyers
It's been interesting to watch Gov. Bobby Jindal rail against the federal government for not doing enough to contain, cap and clean up the BP oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico. Jindal, a Republican and champion of smaller government, daily calls upon President Barack Obama and the feds to do more, more, more.

Bobby's Focus
The out-of-state firms' hourly rates cannot be justified
In the face of the worst environmental disaster in American history lapping at Louisiana's fragile coastline, Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration has been working feverishly — trying to hire expensive, out-of-state lawyers to represent the state against BP in court. Sources familiar with the administration's efforts say that Team Jindal at one point proposed hiring a pair of non-Louisiana law firms, one of which typically represents large corporate clients, to sue BP on behalf of the state.

Bobby Jindal on the evening news. The reason is simple: Nungesser is closer to the problem and knows what he's talking about.
