Gambit Communications Inc. will conduct the contest substantially as described in these rules, and by participating, each participant agrees as follows:

Gambit Communications and Jazzmen Rice invites you to submit an original recipe to the 2010 Gambit and Jazzmen Rice recipe contest that includes Jazzmen Rice as an ingredient. The original recipe can be accompanied by an optional photo or video of the recipe. Five finalists will be selected by a panel of judges for a chance to win a deluxe kitchen prize package. The grand prize winner will be selected by online voting. The 5 finalists recipes will also be featured in a Gambit print ad and on a special web page on bestofneworleans.com dedicated to the recipe contest.
1. To enter email your recipe to vip@gambitweekly.com (required) and photo or video (optional) or mail it to 3923 Bienville St., New Orleans, LA 70119 - Attention: Recipe Contest . All recipes must be original and you are solely accountable for its originality. You agree that Gambit Communications may use your recipe for purposes of promoting the contest without payment or compensation to you. You agree that your submission will not include any material or language that is profane, defamatory or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable. Gambit Communications in its sole discretion reserves the right to cancel your participation in the contest if it is determined your submission violates any of these conditions. You may enter multiple recipes but only one submission per individual will be selected for the finals. By submitting your recipe you accept all contest rules and agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which will be final. You also agree that your recipe may be used for promotional purposes by Gambit Communications and Jazzmen Rice without limitation, acknowledgement or compensation.
2. Recipe Submission Period entries may be received between February 23- April 1. During this period, consumers will submit recipes along with an optional photo and/or video. The recipes and photos or videos will be vetted through an administrator to ensure the entry satisfies the contest criteria. Five finalists will be selected by a panel of judges for a chance to win a deluxe kitchen prize package. The five finalists will be notified by email or telephone on April 3 if they are finalists. Each finalists will be awarded a 25 pound bag of Jazzmen Rice- delivered at the final event on May 13, 2010 at Rock-N-Bowl.
3. Voting, beginning on April 6, online voting will begin for readers to pick their favorite recipe. For 5 weeks Gambit will promote each of the finalists in a print ad and on bestofneworleans.com.
Online voting will end April 29, 2010. By participating in the voting portion of this contest, each voting participant agrees to be bound by the official contest rules. Beginning on April 6, 2010, and ending on April 29, 2010. Gambit Communications Inc. will invite bestofneworleans.com users to vote for their favorite recipe. Voting is limited to one vote per verified email address. If an entrant receives multiple and/or irregular votes or multiple votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, Gambit Communications Inc. reserves the right to disqualify the contestant in its sole discretion.
4. Grand Prize Winner - The submission with the most votes will win a deluxe kitchen prize package and will have their recipe prepared at the final event on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Rock-N-Bowl. THE WINNER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRIZE PICK UP AT EVENT.

Gambit Communications Inc. and Jazzmen Rice disclaim all liability for any delays, misdelivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item sent by mail, courier, express, electronic transmission, or other delivery method. Gambit Communications Inc. and Jazzmen Rice are not responsible for mechanical, technical, electronic, communications, telephone, computer, hardware or software errors, malfunctions or failures of any kind, including: failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmission of online entries, traffic congestion on telephone lines, the Internet or at any website or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit an online entrant's ability to participate in the Contest, and any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any information necessary to participate in the Contest.
6. Contest Eligibility. You are eligible if you are a legal United States resident residing in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia at the time of the Contest Finals. Contest is void where prohibited. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted. Prizes are non-redeemable for cash. Gambit Communications Inc. reserves the right to refuse any submission for any reason. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by email or telephone. Employees of Gambit Communications Inc., Jazzmen Rice, its subsidiaries, affiliates are not eligible to enter. By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Gambit Communications and any other sponsors of the contest, their parents, subsidiaries and affiliated entities, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents, and representatives from any damage, injury, expense, cost, death, loss, claim, action, demand, or other liability that may arise in connection with the contest, or resulting from their acceptance and/or use of any prize, their travel to or from any prize related activity, their participation in this promotion, or from any misuse or malfunction of any prize awarded, including, without limitation, personal injury, death, and/or property damage.
